Our Projects

The Lago Vista Garden Club has several projects that our members volunteer to beautify and maintain throughout the year. Our list has grown a lot over the years.  Please visit our Upcoming Events page to find out when and where we meet and how you can join our club.

LVGC Butterfly Garden

The Butterfly Garden is one of our biggest projects. It was established in 1988 by the LVGC to beautify the grounds of the K OAKS Clubhouse. Members of the club care for and maintain the garden to help increase the butterfly population and provide enjoyment for the North Shore community.

Game Day

Game Day

One of the fun ways we raise funds for our philanthropic endeavors is by hosting Game Day for the North Shore Community. Everyone is invited. Please follow us on social media to get notified when we hold our next Game Day Event.

Lago Vista Elementary School Garden

The Lago Vista Elementary School Garden was established in 1987 to share and instill a love of gardening with students in the North Shore community. Members of the garden club partner with the school to educate the students about gardening. With the guidance of our club members our young gardeners plant and harvest a variety of vegetables and herbs throughout the year. Following school expansion the garden was relocated behind the school in 2024.

Annual Blue Santa Tea

The Garden Club invites members of the community to participate in our Blue Santa Tea each December. The toys and monetary funds we collect are donated directly to the Blue Santa organization which provides toys and food to needy families on the North Shore.
